Rebuilding World of Vanilla: a 2019 WordPress site, restored in Next.js
World of Vanilla began as a WordPress community site during the road to WoW Classic. Seven years later, its backup still held the visual identity but not a working product. This is how I restored the archive, made every surviving route honest and usable, and gave it a modern local account system.
